Our learners are adult females, who wish to return to education or to continue their studies through a flexible, convenient and learner-centered approach to education, usually for the purpose of upskilling, reskilling, preparing for promotion opportunities, etc. Adult return to education for various reasons.

In our context, an adult learner is one who is at least 22 years old at the time of registering at Roegate College.

The Teaching and Learning staff at Roegate College has times set aside for adult students to ask specific questions about their learning and their studies. You will also have access to mentors and coaches, particularly at the beginning of your studies. This is particularly important at the beginning of your studies. We will be there to ease your transition back into education.

Yes, all our courses are online. Our classes take place online via Zoom/Skype/GoogleMeet/Whereby.

The duration of our courses varies across different programmes.

A major award represents a significant amount of work – usually comprising of 7, or 8 minor awards
(i.e., modules). For example, our QQI Level 5 Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education
consists of 8 modules. If a learner completes all 8, they will earn a Major Award. If they complete
just one individual module, they will earn a Minor Award.

We are currently working on this, to ensure that we can provide financial support to female
learners, who really need it.

Yes. For some courses full payment is required before the commencement of the course. For some other courses, payments in instalment is accepted. For more information, email

Fluent written and oral English is required. You can take the online test here at https://englishtest.duolingo.com/ and email the result to admissions@roegatecollege.com. You would need to score at least 6.0 overall in IELTS or 100 points in Duolingo English.
Also, relevant work/life experience is recommended, but not mandatory. Roegate College has a Recognition of Prior Learning Policy

There is no simple yes or no answer to this question. Some providers may allow you to skip the level 5 award. However, the most ethical approach, and the one recommended by QQI is to undertake the level 5 first.
